Peel-and-Stick Strip EMI Gaskets
GORE-SHIELD® GS500 strip gasket is a non-military grade of GORE-SHIELD gasket material that allows the user to design and prototype EMI gaskets easily and inexpensively. It is also ideal for retrofitting applications and field repairing damaged gaskets.
Installing GS500 is easy: just cut the strip to the desired length, peel the strip from the packaging material, and position it where you want it. The conductive, pressure-sensitive adhesive backing holds the strip in place. Make joins or corners by overlapping or butting the ends together. The soft, conformable nature of GORE-SHIELD allows overlaps to compress to the same cross section as the remainder of the gasket when a load is applied.
Gasket thickness can be increased by applying multiple layers of strip material. However, because GORE-SHIELD is soft and compressible, relatively thin gaskets are usually adequate.

GS500 strip gasket material is available in standard 15-meter (50-foot) continuous rolls. We can also supply custom, cut-to-length
strips, packaged either as loose pieces or as a continuous roll. The continuous roll consists of individual pieces that can be peeled off and placed in position.
