The reason why the TETRA2 has been market leader for several years, is that no other portable PC of similar quality level, offers such an expansion capacity (6 ISA or PCI slots) in such a compact and lightweight package.
EXCELLENT READABILITY
To meet graphic software requirements for optimum precision and excellent readability, the TETRA2 is equipped with a lightweight 14.1" XGA TFT LCD display with excellent brightness and viewing angles.
The front panel screen controls and eye saving tilt control feet of the TETRA2 are among the features that Steatite customers appreciate too. In addition, the coloured front panel of the Tetra2 can be easily personalised by Steatite to meet your specific requests.
POWER AND MODULARITY
The modular design of the TETRA2 will enable you to easily finalise your solution.
Our users know that having numerous slots for add-on cards is not enough. They still have to be individually kept in position to ensure perfect reliability in any circumstances. This is the reason why Tetra has designed a retention system adapted to the various ISA or PCI card sizes available on the market. Each card is perfectly fastened on 3 axis.
The rear cover slips off with quick turn closures allowing easy, full and unobstructed access to the card cage. In addition the TETRA2 comes with a standard PS/2 connector for an easy keyboard exchange or a mouse connection. OEM customers, VARs and field-users appreciate these details.
Apart from the latest generation microprocessor (Intel Core 2 Duo T7200), it can run with 3Gb DDRII memory and up to 3 Ultra ATA 100 internal peripherals.

Moulded ABS shell and aluminium chassis
Thanks to its moulded ABS and metal exterior shell, combined with a full metal heavy gauged 12/10 aluminium chassis, the TETRA2 feels at ease in any critical mission, whether in an office or in the field.
Cavity cooling
To ensure a steady and low temperature, the TETRA2 features Multi-fan forcedl cavity cooling. Your add-on cards will
not "be running temperature" inside the TETRA2.
Quality manufacture
All the phases of the TETRA2 manufacturing process ensure that it complies with industrial standards (temperature, humidity, shock, vibration, drop). In accordance with IEC tests, the TETRA2 is also CE, FCC class B certified and meets UL and EN60950 safety standards.
