The CommSync II™

The CommSync II™ Time and Frequency System imbeds both Civil GPS and Military signal GPS receiver technologies. The basis for countless commercial and military applications, this "hot-swappable", modular, function-rich system is supported by a host of plug-in modules for virtually every time and frequency output need.

For authorized government/military users in the communications, command and control terminal segments, FEI-Zyfer offers the latest military GPS receiver technology referred to as SAASM. The SAASM functionalities provide true security for the equipment as well as robust operational capabilities for the user. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff has mandated that all US government military infrastructures implement this new generation military GPS receiver technology. FEI-Zyfer is a systems-level GPS-JPO approved SAASM HAE (Host Applications Equipment) developer, integrating SAASM receivers into time and frequency generation and synchronization systems for communications and command/control terminals

Key Features

Single -string or redundant system with hot-swappable Time and Frequency modules. Each system is factory configurable with:
— Civil GPS receivers or military P(Y) Direct Acquisition SAASM GPS receivers
— External 1 PPS/1, 5, or 10 MHz reference source input
— TCXO and OCXO Quartz Oscillators, or Rubidium oscillators
Reliable long-term stable operation, traceable to UTC (USNO) when GPS is used as reference standard.
Oscillator aging and temperature coefficient compensation, provides superior holdover performance during loss of reference standard input.
2 line front panel LCD display for time, position, satellite operation and control
Up to 13 hot-swappable input/output option modules
AC or DC input power modules
Remote control, monitor, and diagnosis through RS-232 (standard), and/or optional Ethernet module with Telnet and/or SNMP
