NTPSync XLS

Fei-zyfer : NTPSync XLS GPS referenced Network Time Server

NTPSync XLS™ Model 383

While knowing the correct time is something we all take for granted, it is the weak link in the security chain that protects businesses and computer networks against fraud, hacking and commercial disputes.

The NTPSync XLS™ provides trusted time in a network for traceable time, call billing and data logging, audit trails, and improvements in network intrusion methods and measures. Remote access from the network can also be disabled for security reasons.

The NTPSync XLS offers excellent GPS-referenced time accuracy and network functionality and is easy to operate. Setup of any computer on the network is simple through the network time protocol (NTP) infrastructure. It is the best choice for LAN, WAN, and MAN networks, and for critical applications: high-value computer infrastructures.

Configurable settings can be modified via menus on the 2 row x 40-character LC display with back light and the four buttons in the front panel. NTPSync XLS is assembled in a modular case which includes, GPS receiver, a single board computer, and a power supply unit.

The single board computer runs a Linux Operating System which is loaded from flash disk into RAM at power-up. In addition to NTP, the Linux operating system supports other network services like SSH, HTTP(S), SNMP. The system supports IPv4 and IPv6 which allows remote configuration or monitoring across the network, e.g. using a common web browser.

Additionally, messages can be sent to a management console by SNMP traps, automatic emails, by Windows Popup-Messages or optional remote NTP displays. If it is necessary to provide redundancy against hardware failure then it’s also possible to install several NTPSync XLS servers in the same network.
