SAASM

A recent U.S. Government mandate states that all military applications that require GPS technology must use SAASM-GPS Direct-P(Y) Aquisition receivers. With this in mind, FEI-Zyfer was the first communications sync-related company to develop a solution to make this transition as smooth as possible for communications and command and control terminal applications and Steatite supply this solution.

As an option of the CommSync II, a modular, redundant GPS time and frequency system, the SAASM-GPS Direct-P(Y) Aquisition capability provides authorized users synchronized distribution, a master clock, a dedicated time server and much more, all from one rack-mount unit.
